2024 Skim Camp

Tuesday-Thursday | 9am - 12pm

Our Skim camps aim to offer a welcoming atmosphere to kids of all walks of life. Our camp focuses on developing one's skim skills from the basics of the run, drop, slide and their corresponding stance goofy or regular footed.

We teach skimmers and parents to understand in depth weather patterns & marine forecasts to better equip skimboarders with the knowledge they'll need to accell their skills in their local region and beyond. Our instructors know patience is key and have the experience to pace a camper safely from the sand to the water to wrapping a wave! (skimboarding maneuver)

Skimboarding cultivates small groups of individuals playfully pushing each other to improve themselves. Skimboarders develop resilience and community in progressing over the hurdles of the sport together while sharing some of the best spaces mother nature has to offer along the coast of Long Island!

There is a Town parking fee for out-of-town residents. Mention SideSlip at the gate. Town of Babylon residents can purchase a yearly permit on Cedar Beaches website located under our beaches tab.
